Futures thinking now: examining assumptions about the future

Futures thinking is an approach to evaluating emerging trends and future possibilities, and then using this information to shape strategic plans to better handle future uncertainty. It is a field that offers a variety of tools and strategies that we can use to navigate uncertainty and mitigate consequences.
